Toxic Fruits and Vegetables
There are many fruits and vegetables that have
become extremely hazardous for consumers due to
high levels of pesticides found in them.
As many as 20 pesticides are used in the growing
of these common foods. And, washing and
peeling doesn't remove all the toxins, because
many of the pesticides are absorbed into the
fruits and vegetables. This is why organic
foods are becoming so important and are more
readily found at your local store. While
organic foods probably won't remove all toxins
from your supply, it will dramatically decrease
the likelihood of ingesting them. You
should reduce your chemical intake by as much as
90%. The mineral content is also much
higher in organic foods.Apples, bell peppers,
celery, cherries, grapes, lettuce, nectarines,
peaches, pears, potatoes, spinach, and
strawberries have the highest levels of
pesticides in them. Avocadoes, asparagus,
bananas, broccoli, cabbage, corn, kiwi, mangoes,
onions, papaya, pineapple, sweet peas have the
lowest amount of pesticides.
